James D. Hunt  - PERSONAL BACKGROUND:
After eleven years as an executive in technically-oriented companies followed by four years doing PR and writing on the agency side, I've targeted Hunt Communications to deliver technically capable marketing and writing services that adapt to your needs rather than the other way around.

I am fascinated by interesting innovations and get a supreme sense of satisfaction out of researching a new product or technology's salient points and structuring a well-crafted story about "why" it is important to the industry at large. I also enjoy the interview process of finding out how real customers are using these products and what kind of results they're getting.

I am very serious about meeting deadlines and always prefer to work on a project basis whether for agencies, magazines or corporate clients.

My personal demons are "boundless curiosity" wed hand-in-hand with an "obsessive work ethic". The result is that I stay supremely busy, but I also get to constantly feed my techno-addiction.

Oddo, Coke-Kerr & Hunt (October 1992 - September 1994) Vice President & Partner responsible for strategic public relations programs for technology oriented clients in the computer, electronics and manufacturing industries.

Megatek Corporation (October 1984 - April 1991)
Vice President of Operations Responsible for all Manufacturing, QA, Materials, Customer Service and Support for up to $35 million in computer graphics systems. From June '86 through June '87 also responsible for all hardware and software engineering development activities.

Syte Information Technology (February 1983 - October 1984)
Founder and Vice President Corporate Development Responsible for Finance, Human Resources, Corporate Planning and Administration plus set-up of Marketing and Manufacturing organizations for start-up company developing high-performance engineering workstations.

Megatek Corporation (June 1981 - February 1983)
Director of Planning Responsible for all corporate and product planning plus all project management. Also established strategic planning interface with new multi-billion dollar parent company, United Telecommunications Inc.

San Diego County (October 1972 - June 1981) Progressively responsible positions in the County Office of Management & Budget including direct review of over $300 million in county programs.
